I kind of sucked out last week with content updates due in part to three days of working from home (thank you G-20), and a general case of malaise.

I was so ridiculously tired – the change of seasons does this to me every spring and every autumn, and I unfortunately kind of fall into a slump until temperatures normalize.

Leslie is still on the ball and has a review sitting in the queue… I’ll post later today as soon as possible and hopefully get back into the swing of things here.

Hopefully.

As much as I try to keep this blog posted with a review Monday through Thursday, I just keep sucking out lately. This time it’s Excedrin headache edition because, well, I came home, passed out for a good three hours and woke with the same bloody headache that kicked in some time after lunch. I’m not a huge pain killer fan, but Excedrin is one of those staples because headaches simply end me – I become more useless than Congress during peacetime.

This is why I firmly believe that Excedrin is proof that God loves us and wants us to have nice things.

Also, Excedrin + beer = proof that God’s a party animal who needs to take care of a hangover every now and again like the rest of us.

No parties for me today, but thank the maker for the Excedrin because it at least took the edge off. The pain is still lingering back there, but I’m praying by morning it will have taken leave of the right side of my head and I can finish this work week off without trying to throw myself out of the 8th floor window.

Oh, and as some manner of consolation, I should be home most of the weekend and consequently capable of conducting research and posting articles.

I hope.

Yeah, I fail… No post tonight of any significant value because I’m tired. Headed over to Hofbräuhaus to celebrate the girlfriend’s uncle’s birthday and didn’t get back until later than I had intended and well later than my mind has the intention to express itself.

And projects are behind so it was a long day at work.

Yes, yes – I know. Would I like some whine with that bitching?

The short answer would be, yes – a pinot, please. (See – bad pun. What did I warn you about?)

Well, I fail and spent the evening sampling vino with friends instead of browsing music by monitor-light… It was such a tough choice.

I know next to nothing of Italian wines (if there isn’t a pinot noir/burgundy on the menu I get disoriented very fast), but thankfully the waiter had some excellent suggestions that left the table satisfied and buzzed… My receipt says that we purchased Malvasia and Ripassa -whether those are types of wine or the manufacturers is still up for discussion since I don’t speak Italian and the bottles weren’t very good at hand gestures to help me out. Either way, excellent suggestions and kudos to the staff at Girasole (even if the attendant/presumed owner started out as a bit of a prick) for a magnificent meal that left me incapable of assembling any manner of legitimate review for the evening.

I love blaming food for my shortcomings.

Hopefully I’ll do better tomorrow!(?)
